Rather than just leave the Airplane, the crew would hang around for a week or two and wait for the work to be done. I got pretty familiar with the LA area. Unless you are going for 100% stock looking, you should consider a 69 Callout stripe down the sides in white. It would look amazing on your car. Picture a white stripe like this on your car.

Thank you! That white stripe is nice. I’m definitely considering that, or the Formula S style stripe. Either way, that’s a beautiful fastback and I absolutely love that color! That’s cool about your time in LA. Lakewood is basically a little suburb just north of Long Beach (we’re about a block from the Long Beach border).

Our father/son project, 67 fastback, will be the same color. Started with painting the engine bay, long ways to go from here.

That’s cool that you starting from there though! My engine bay is still the old color because I couldn’t afford to pull everything and get that detailed, so yours will look much better than mine when done. For sure worth the extra work/time!
 
We haven’t touched it in 2+ years since we moved. It has been in a storage unit waiting for my shop to be built. Shop built, moving car this month, weather permitting, and getting after it for the new year.
