Well i got to take my car the track for the last time this year and had a blast the car ran a bunch of new best passes for me. I let my buddy ramcharger that is 110 pounds lighter than me, which is in the video driving make some pass in the car. He ran a best of 10.49 at 125 in the 1/4.:burnout: The car is a 1973 big block dart with aluminum heads on 93 pump gas. The car weighed 3520 with me in it. Hope to get it down in the 10.30 next year.I think the car has a lot more in it because i have not done any real tuning on the engine or the springs, shocks etc.also hope to get my 73 duster going next year. ok here is the in car video. sorry the pic is kind of small.thanks Mopar65

Sounded great! There may very well be more in it, didn't even sound like it was working hard.:thumblef:. Thanks for the video.

What is the whole combo?

here is a break down of the parts+ car. thanks Mopar65

1973 all steel dodge dart.that weighs 3520 with me in it. But i am in the process of putting a 71/72 dart front end on the 73 so i raced the car with the front bumper removed.

1973 0.030 over 440 block
wisco pro true flat top pistons 0.006 down in the hole
stock stroke steel crank
Eagle rods
very lightly bowl ported indy EZ heads 2.19/1.81 valves
Comp solid roller cam 264 @ 0.050
634 lift with crane 1.6 roller rockers
wieand tunnel-ram two pro form main body,s 750 dp carbs
tti 2x3-1/2 headers

727 transmission
CRT low band apply RMVB
CRT red eagle clutches/ steels
Dynamitc 9.5 converter that stalls around 4200-4400
8-3/4 4.30 gears
15x3-1/2 weld drag light wheels front
weld 15x8 wheels on back
M/T 275/60/15 ET street radials
cheep summit 3 way shocks on front set at 90/10
cheep ramcharger dodge truck shocks on back
mopar super stock 002/003 springs.

the engine is only around 10.9-11.1 compression and all runs wear made on 93 pump gas. My goal was to get the car to run 10.50 on pump gas and still be able to drive the car on the street. Which i will do next year. That is if i dont sell the dart to fund my 73 duster i want to build. any more questions fill free to ask. Oh also would like to say a very big thank you to joedust451 for helping me tune on the car. but like i said i think there is a lot more in it. thanks Mopar65:cheers::cheers:

Thanks every one. Also for got to add we was racing into a 15 mph head wind if that matters. We was shifting the car around 6500 but i think Jason lowered the shift point down to 6200-6300. you know i kept asking him to watch the tac to see what it was going through the end at and he keep for getting to look. I did the same thing. I think we was more worried about making the last turn off road.lol Ozark has a pretty short shut down lane. i wish my mph on the end was higher. I might be over geard for the 1/4 with the short 28 inch tall tires and the 4.30 gears. Was thinking about going back to a set of 4.10 gears but this is what i did to my frist set after the 4 pass last year. so what do you guys think about changing the gears? i was running almost 102 mph in the 1/8 but only 124.56 in the 1/4.thanks mopar65

With the mph/tire size i think you would be trappin' in the 6400/6600 range, depending on converter slip, if any. Not extreme rpm's by any means. The 4.10 may or may not give you much, but may make for a more comfortable top end if it feels like it's rolling over. Your car runs so strong i have a hard time finding something to point to. A little lean at the top or valve springs at their limit? But that's just stretching to find something....it runs really strong as is.
