Have you tried diggin out all that danged dirt?
Well it is an HD none the less. Wonder what year it is, definitely earlier than mine as you don’t have an ABS hole machined into it. Pull an axle, it’ll take ya 3 minutes. I’d like to see the spline count as I’m sure @SGBARRACUDA would like to know as well.

It can be used in an A body if you narrow it and change housing ends (well you could use it without doing all that and going mad Max with radiused wjeeltubs and the outer sidewalls of the tires about 8 inches out and the big truck hubs, but I or anyone else in their right mind wouldn’t recommend it). You’ll want to put a limited slip in and change axles in it anyway so the existing spline count doesn’t matter a whole lot, the count on the axles you choose to go back with will, though. And when you pull the axle shaft bolts, there will be some conical washers that interference fit the axles to the outer hub, you’ll have to hammer around those before you can pull them out. You’ll probably want to find a video on how to change rear brakes on a 3/4 ton Dodge next so you can tear it down. The narrowing and tube end installation is probably best left to a machine shop, you’ll need the dimensions from the accurate 8-3/4 axle width list here to have them do it. Are you wanting to stay with standard A body width or use a B body width?
30 spline axles are what also came out of my 60HD.
you can build that rear for your car If you want. It’s heavier than a standard Dana60 with the extra webbing and thicker axle tubes. It takes all the same parts.
But like stated earlier, you’re gonna have to cut it down and weld on car ends, and relocate the perches.

Could you provide a list and links to things I'd need to buy to get this in my duster? I don't mind it being heavier I plan on putting a 440 in here soon. imma race this heck out of it. I really wanna build it.
Is the process the same as this guy? If there is a better video with step by step so I can copy for help I'd love it. I'm still learning on my first build so I appreciate everyone's help

Hey thanks! Id like to try and narrow it myself. I'm in no rush. But if I find a machine shop that can do it not that expensive I'll go for it. I want it to be factory length and not madmax haha I'll save that for my next Ramcharger 4X4 project xD.
Could you also provide links to some of these things I need to swap when you get the time ? I would really appreciate it. If I had did more research I would've gotten a regular dana60 but for 80 bucks Its slim pickings on my budget build
I already see what looks like an 8. Might be a 6. Hard to tell.

The current studs don't match up with the bolt pattern and I'm getting rotors confused with disc brakes that already have the studs in them already?

Good luck. You're in for a lot of work but at least you'll learn something and maybe get some tools in the process. If you tackle the job yourself you'll need to buy a bunch of tools that you might never use again. If you take it to someone else then they'll charge you some money to narrow it. First thing you need to do it get it all tore down and then get it clean. Might want to cut the ends off sooner rather than later just to make it easier to deal with. That rear is going to be a beast to lug around, hope you have a strong back. Do you have the right tools to pull it apart? You'll need some big stuff to get that pinion nut off of there and to pull the yoke.
You need to figure out what that kit is designed for and then see if those parts will work with the rear end you have. There are different housing ends that can be used and there are different axle stand off dimensions that are used. You can't just buy random parts and expect them to work together. There are certain combinations of parts that work together but other parts don't work.
I use the Ford Torino housing ends on my cars since there are a lot of brake kits that fit the Torino housing ends. But when you use the Torino ends you have to know which bearings to use and what the hub standoff will be and lot of other details.
