Has anyone had problems with gas leaking from the large fitting that screws directly into the carb? I used the large fitting from my old Carter AVS and screwed it into my new AVS and it leaks bad. It goes in nice and easy with no problems and I've got it nice and snug. I've tried 2 different washers and it still leaks. Do I need a new one if I can find one? In the meantime I'm using the one that came on the carb with a short rubber hose. I prefer not to go this route as I want to use my original line without it.

Another little annoying problem. Thanks for your input!

You Will Probably find one is metric thread slightly loose and the opposite fitting is S.A.E Thread

I had the same problem and fixed it by using teflon pipe tape. Be careful to not let it hang over the front of the threads so you don't get any tape in the carb.

I put a Carter AVS fitting into the Edelbrock AVS carb and didn't have any problems.
