My "class", as usual, is the Swap Meet...

Max, just take a "Barracuda" fender emblem and string it around your neck and put yourself in the project class...:blob:
Yeah, definitely a work in progress...

What class is everyone registering under this year? I know Mike is moving over to daily driver. Anyone else?

I was in DD last year but I'm going to change to A-body this year. We should all meet up and roll in together......

That would be pretty cool.we got there late last year.**** I might leave my pile at home and roll in in Luke's truck.you guys aren't trying to look at my beater...

Easier to get to now that the Devil's Slide bypass is in.

I really did put it in the show. Surprisingly, I saw 2 cudas (one a race slant) and a Maroon Scamp, which I think is someone from here. 3 slants total including mine. Everyone wanted to talk to me about how I left the slant in it and that was cool, and were surprised when I said I drive it every day. It was a very positive experience.

I was there but could not catch gtmopar, he is too fast!
Surprised there were not many others there, beautiful day and show.

It was pretty nice. I showed up about 7, since the spot was only 6 blocks away from my driveway. It rained for about 30 minutes with a lot of wind. That part was miserable, but after that it was sunny.

I'm from Granite Bay, right near Folsom lake.
My first car was a 69 Dart 318. Since 1982 I have owned 37 A bodies, 2 b bodies, 1 E, 1 C , 3 vans, 8 trucks and one Trail Duster. , a 74 Duster 360
Most of the A bodies I've owned have been parts cars or ones I've fixed up and sold. Currently I have a 65 Barracuda , a 67 Dart GT, a 71 Duster, 73 Dart swinger, a 73 Dart Sport 340, a 73 Swinger and my 70 Charger R/T clone.
I still have the Trail Duster and 75 Power wagon.
I love these cars and trucks. They are simple to fix and fun to drive.

Welcome that's the way I think of them too.fun to drive and easy yo fix

What show was this? It looks like a really nice venue.

Benicia Classic Car Show.

It is on the 1st street green, and covered about 1/4 the length of 1st street, the entire pier, and all of the grass area. It's right on the water and was nice and sunny after a quick drizzle.

It's about 3 seconds away from my house so I had to go.

This was not this year's, but same spot.

There were actually a couple A-body's there and I was parked right in front of a really beautiful coronet.

Also found people who took pics of my car. Kind of exciting.

Wow! I never would have known. I drive to Martinez on the 680 four times a month and I always thought the extent of Benicia was the area near the tanks and the railroad. I just looked it up on Google and never knew all the city that exists up the 780. I always cross over on the bridge and never get over that way. Looks like a really nice show. It would be fun to attend but it's the same weekend as our big annual show here.

Yup, I actually work in a woodshop in that industrial park you drive through to pass the bridge. It's a nice quiet spot.

Stopped on my way home from work a couple times with my little rinky-dink camera to take some photos (I didn't have my big camera rig with me)... the sunset was incredible tonight :)

On my way to work this morning...

Wow, gorgeous photos! The subject isn't bad looking, either. Thanks for sharing.

Ok, turns out dash cam was recording the other day when I thought I saw another A-body. Turns out, it wasn't green, I think it's gold. They didn't wave, or scream, or throw beer bottles at my window or nuthin'. :sad10: lol.

This was Lake Herman, surely someone on here? Maybe not...

I couldn't believe it- I saw one passing by me the other way the other day on a two lane hwy, and believe you me there aren't many up here in Mustang/Camaroville, I gave him a wave and he was like in a daze staring straight ahead.

You mean the camera is supposed to go on the dash?????

I want a gopro... but no one will buy one for me and I'm always broke. lol.

Yeah there's a lot of Mustangs and Camaros here. (and I'm the only classic dodge in town that I know of) At the carshow in town I saw probably 60 camaros out of 350 cars.

I love classic cars but if you shoot a cannon down down Hilltop Drive during our Kool April Nights Friday night cruise, you'll hit a twenty Mustangs, a dozen Camaros, a half dozen Chevelles, a dozen '57 Chevys, maybe 8 or 9 Corvettes and a couple Cougars and Firebirds. You might wing a Mopar coming around the corner of Cypress Ave. That's why they're so much fun. Before I put the badging back on after paint I got lots of compliments on my '67 Chevelle. lol

Here's the final video my son did for me. Just fooling around one day we went for a ride with his GoPro. He's so jealous, My brother-in-law's sister works for them in the San Jose area. Every time they come out with a new camera, they give one to the employees. She's got a couple cameras I don't think have even been out of the box.

Nods to Joe Satriani in the soundtrack

I know of a great place to send one of those... :glasses7:

Also I saw satriani for about 30 minutes in Tower Records ( when it was tower records) in Concord. It was a pretty sweet little song set. Rubinda is still my favorite song by him.
