Dodge72
Odd one out
Hello! Long time no see. I've been buried in school and work lately, and I still am! But I took a weekend to go to the Portland Swap Meet. I wasn't really needing anything, but you can't NOT go to a major swap meet.
Turns out, I did need something!
This is a 68 Barracuda dash. I've always been in love with this style of dash, and it looks 1000x better than the rectangular dash in my 72 Dart. This thing is a quite a bit worse for wear, but I'm hoping with some elbow grease and some know-how, I can make it look great for a budget without too many brand new parts. Everything is there at least! Right now I got a vacuum gauge for the middle gauge, but I think I'll be getting a tachometer. I really look forward to this little detail work and making this beautiful and functional again.
I also got myself a Sure Grip unit at the swap meet so that'll be real fun too! With that, adding a front sway bar, and a total suspension rebuild, it'll feel like a different car this summer. I just need to find the time in between work and class projects.
Who else got any goodies recently for their cars?
