I've been patient! I've waited and waited. Then yesterday I found it. A 2001 360 complete, just taken out of a wrecked dodge p/u. Are you ready for this? I bought it for $100.00!!!!! Now for the fun part. I want to put a regular intake manifold and carb on it. I think I know how to do it but could use some advice. I'll be putting it in my 66 barracuda. I know about replacing the dist. but what else is important? Any help would be great and I'll keep ya'll up to date on my build.

O.k. God is working here! Just got off the phone with a mechanic buddy and he is going to sell me a perfect 727 with all the linkage filler tube and hardware for what? A hundred bucks!!! I went from at least a 6 month wait to getting it all in 2 days for $200 bucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thats a good start but if its all going into an early a, then get out the checkbook. you will need a new radiator, new driveshaft, bigger rear end, new motor mounts, new throttle setup, new shifter, new kickdown setup, and probably will want to get disc brakes too. if going to discs and/or 8.25 rear end then count on new BBP wheels/tires as well.
sorry if i burst your bubble but the related parts to a 360 swap add up fast! ask me how i know haha!
anyway good luck with it right now you are ahead of the game.

I know it! I found a 8.75 rear end here for 350.00. I already have the new radiator. I figures I'd have to have the d-shaft cut but I may just buy a new one. I want to do a disc brake conv. in front for now and the rear maybe later. Buying the motor and tranny so cheap sure frees up a lot of cash for the x-tras.
