New Hellwig tubular sway bar

-
The primary benefit of a tubular sway bar is weight. Also it has a nicer apperance than a heat treated sway bar as it has less tool marks and a nicer surface finish because is not heated to 1700 deg F quenched in oil and tempered at 1000 deg F. THe only drawback is in tensile strength as a tubular bar is not heat treated and has significantly less tensile strength. However, in a car application there is not enough articulation to cause a stress issue. IF designed properly, a tubular bar will last as long as a solid bar. 4X4 applications are a different story. We do not offer any tubular sway bars for the truck market for this reason. Before bringing a tubular application to market, the stresses are analyzed to ensure the performance of the sway bar.

63-66 bar dia is TBD. IT is still in the development phase. Timing is probably late summer for the 63-66 bars. 73-76 bars should be available by late April.

340 dart, the answer to your question is yes. In post #1, I stated the weights.

Good deal, thank you, Sir.
I just checked with Suspension Connection on-line, but did not see the tubular sway bar listed for sale.
Dave, is there a dealer I can buy the tubular one from, the
55906 67-72 A-Body Mopar 1-1/8" FSB model?

I will be waiting for the early A sway bar's 63 to 66.
Thank you and as soon as they are out and ready please let us know.

FYI, Guys, I just ordered the new Hellwig tubular front anti-sway bar from Suspension Connection for my 1971 Dart GT. I'll post some photos when it arrives and I get it installed.
Muchas gracias to Dave@Hellwig, BTW.
