Hi Fabo, my dad passed away a few years ago and left me his 68 formula S notchback that he ordered in the winter of 67-68. No, I’m not looking to sell-but I would like to decipher fact from fiction as I get this car road ready. Growing up I heard every story about this car 1000 times, like he had to wait for it because there was a fire at the plant that delayed the delivery, to which ding my mom put in it and what year it was. The car is numbers matching, but it has been modified over the years countless times. I’m surprised there isn’t a registry like ford has (marti report) to go over the build sheet. I know being a 4 speed notchback it’s a 1-154 car but the old man would always say it’s a 1:1 car on how he optioned it which I always laughed at. It still is pretty cool, and this is the car that started it all for me(I became a foxbody ford guy because by the early 2000’s I couldn’t afford a duster/demon like I wanted)
Currently it’s getting a new fuel tank, a steering gear, and some routine maintenance to get it back on the road. Here’s some pictures: enjoy some of the period-correct aftermarket parts

Bag humbug Illinois ... Another one living in this miserable state ... Kankakee area here, grew up in Monee, ran around all over the south suburbs in the late 80s/early 90s... Still avoiding Chicago (itself ) like the plague
Don't even like going the few miles into crook county that I have to to visit relatives and to mow.
It's somewhat better among the cornfields

I grew up in crook county and moved to Woodstock about 8 years ago, soon I’ll be out of here but it can’t come soon enough

:welcome: from :canada:

Sorry for the loss of your dad.

Looks like that Barracuda was really his pride and joy, and he has trusted you to make it yours.

I have been known to own a few fox body variants over the years, fun cars!
