8.75” Chrysler A-body, stock width rearend housing, third member with 3.91 gear ratio, Sure Grip and Dr. Diff 5 x 4.5" bolt pattern axles. Asking $2,000, firm.
This rearend started out as a small bolt pattern, pre-1973. It came with the original axles that were re-drilled to fit 5x4.5” large bolt pattern. I did not want to reuse them so I purchased a set of large bolt pattern axles from Dr. Diff doctordiff.com . The axles are brand new with Green bearings installed.
The differential is a 741 case with 3.91 gear ratio with Sure-Grip. It has been overhauled by San Diego Gear and Axle. They hot tanked it and installed a complete bearing kit. There is a one year warranty on it.
The housing itself has spring perches in the stock location, 43” on center, and the width is stock A-body width at 52 5/8”. It has NEW housing end studs and NEW 3rd member studs.
Some other items to note are a NEW axle housing vent, the original brake distribution block and rear brake lines are attached. There is a NEW pinion snubber attached. This rearend is ready for drums or a disc brake conversion and will bolt up to any Duster, Demon, Dart, Swinger, Valiant, Barracuda A-body Mopar.
ALL the bearings, races, bolts, gaskets, and seals are NEW! Warranty on third member! 5 x 4.5” bolt pattern! I’ve got receipts!
The location is 91901, near San Diego, CA. The shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, HOWEVER, there will be an empty pickup bed going from San Diego to Oklahoma City between the dates of Christmas and New Years. If there is a buyer in the southwest between now and then we can work out a route to drop it off (So. Cal, AZ, NM, TX, OK, W. AR, S. KS, or SE. MO) to avoid freight charges. If you are in the So Cal or S. AZ I can definitely meet if it's a reasonable distance.
