Hello Mopar "A" body dude's, my first name is Randy and live in Fairland, Ind. My wife passed away this year due to dementia, I am 72 years old,
(survived the 60's twice) and I needed to do something to keep my mind off of that and something to do, I have always enjoyed messing and working on older cars so I bought a older drag car that had been in storage for the last 12 years, its a 1966 Plymouth Valiant (see attached picture) the engine, transmission and all the interior is missing. The body is very solid, no rust through at all. Then I bought an old 1956 Chrysler industrial 331 hemi that came out of industrial pump, the engine only had 366 hours on it, I stripped it down. upgraded the cam to a more aggressive cam and bought a lot of parts from Hothemiheads and put the engine back together. I know its kind of late in life to be doing this but I'm going for it. I am just going to drive the car on the street (no drag racing) just a weekend cruiser and have something to turn heads.

Thanks,
Have happy holidays with your families.
Randy

I am truly sorry for the loss of your wife, difficult circumstance for certain. Looks like you found a pretty cool car and an interesting powerplant for it. Good luck with your project and keep us posted.

Coincidentally, my name is also Randy.

Welcome to the site, sorry to hear of your wife's passing.
I hope you are prepared to do a lot of fabrication and swearing to install this engine.
It will be awesome when done!
