Good morning Dave. Well I have wanted another 72 Duster or Demon ever since I sold the white one. I have been really looking for a 72 Demon for years. This car is in pretty close shape to the white 72 Duster but it has taken quite a bit to get it to a nice level. One is the carb. It had a thermoquad on it when I bought it but it was like for a 1975 440 and it ran smooth but no performance. I found a rebuilt correct automatic carb for it and that transformed the car. I have a retired mechanic who worked for me, who is a friend and is a Thermoquad master. He set it up. Nice driving car and I really enjoy it. I am partial to 72's since my first kind a new car I bought as a teen in 74 was a 72 Demon 318 3speed on the floor with buckets, rally wheels etc. It was a really good car that took Debby and I into marriage etc. Thanks

This is the first Demon I've seen with that hood stripe treatment that didn't also have a scoop on it, that wasn't a Sizzler. What does that fender tag say? Very sharp car!

Well here is the story on this Demon. I know Dave asked me about paperwork. It is a numbers matching car. Original interior and a repaint to original black. I don't have a build sheet though I have a picture of it but it is mostly unreadable. The build sheet got lost somewhere in the past 6-7 years. I do have the build tag and it was a black car with side moldings and of course no stripes. When the car was redone they put the white stripes on it. Your right I had never seen a sizzler style stripe without a hood scoop on a 72. It is not on the build tag so I doubt this Demon came with it. I have since seen and did some research that you could actually get a 72 340 that way. Anyhow if I ever redo the car I would likely put moldings back on as I love that look. This Demon has been a project but it has been kind of fun doing everything. It still needs some stuff but overall a great driving reliable 72 340. Nice tight body and very few squeaks or rattles. I also put an original AM radio in it but with bluetooth. That is a nice addition. Thanks everyone.

My ‘71 (11/70) has the VX5 molding. I didn’t care for the option when I was younger, but appreciate it more now.
