Was drop shipped from a customer today that he ordered over the weekend. Sometimes I swear these vendors have people checking on race sites for feedback because this looks GREAT. I’ll post up pictures of every runner, carb flange, and plenum. Now this was on my porch when I came up to the house to eat so it’s a dinner table inspection. The carb flange looks a little hit or miss on the last pass but feels good. Without a gasket the carb flange looks smaller and it appears to have a bigger lip leading into the plenum. Not picking but telling you what I see. I would buy another one of these right now if I didn’t buy another pistol yesterday. Check this beautiful thing out. This customer should be very pleased after I put a little loving on this thing.

Too bad the plenum opening doesn't look as uniform as the ports. Overall, quite a surprise I would say.

I think that’s more on the guy taking the pictures looking down on the plenum. Between the intake sitting on the box on my supper table and my big belly I couldn’t really square up on it. I’ll provide better pictures after I lay it out for porting.

Do you prefer this intake you have over the Super Victor 340 ?
Edelbrock 2815 Edelbrock Super Victor Intake Manifolds | Summit Racing

It’ll be interesting to see a photo with a gasket laid on the port flange.

I see you have ground the leading edge of the runner dividers to a sharper edge, rather than leaving the bull nose edge. I am seeing this a lot now. Have you done any before/after testing?

............And then he tried to bolt it to an engine and.....................

I swapped an airgap for this Victor 340 and bam! Better overall pull and performance. Went in a stock stroke 360. 292 purple cam. 3.91's out back. Car is a dart sport. Runs like a champ.

Ohhhh ya lots of before and after flow testing done and I’ve posted up before and after numbers up plenty of times. This one should be on a 300 plus set of Edelbrock heads this week before I start cutting away at it and then again when finished. If you want to see numbers again I’ll post them up. Customer sent his roller cam out to be profiled and to see if they can add to his .600 plus lift so I can’t set up His springs till we have that info. You will never see me radically knife-edge the leading edge but you will see lots of shaping. When someone has me port a set of heads like in this case i charge them 200.00 additional to port their intake but that fee is going up. I try to keep my prices low but the order of burrs I bought last week was 350.00. It’s senseless to port a set of heads especially with a nice 2.055 intake valve and snuff the results out with a stock intake.

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES

PLEASE raise your prices.

Its better to do LESS work for the same money than to do MORE a work for the same money.

The plenum opening does look rather small.
I wonder if a carb with the 1.750” butterflies would clear if only using a gasket(no spacer).

I’ll try to set my old 850 on it later today to see. Then again are they 1.750?

Ok here are a couple quick pictures but the carb won’t sit flat on the manifold base as my 50cc carb pump screw lays on the manifold. He sent a two inch spacer to match up and even it will need a little grinding to clear.

I can’t believe this she-it. Here’s my sons intake that I got on a 340 when I bought my black duster back around 2007-2008. I ported the intake when I rebuilt the engine and honestly I can’t remember my gasket of choice back then. Here’s some pictures with the Edelbrock gasket that I use now. Check out the mismatch on the new intake above and this old intake

Guess you didn’t see my post earlier showing what to expect. Luckily the amount the gaskets (edit: correctly stated: the intake) needed to be moved to line up the runners as well as elongating the bolt holes of the intake was equal for both sides on mine.
