I picked up a set of Torq Thrust II's for the Duster.
17x7 with 3.5 backspacing up front and 17x11 with 4" backspacing out back. Tires are 215's and 315's.

Wow! Those look great and I love the color of your Duster. What paint code is it?

Ya know 17's if done right look pretty good on these cars. Yours look real good.

Please don't do the "bling" 20+ rims, they look derpy.

I saw a 1971 impala with 24's the other day, I just about puked coffee out of my nose when I saw it.

Looks awesome!

Lower that bad boy an inch or so, or get a little taller tire.

Very Nice...Looks great.....I really like those TT II wheels too....They kind of remind me of cragar SS wheels...They look good on whatever you put them on....I also really like the color of your Duster.....What color is that? B5 blue is a little darker I believe.....It looks like a Ice Blue color....

72 Duster 440, I'd like to ask 2 questions. 1) Do you have sufficient clearance front and back? 2) Did you do anything to help clearance? I have a 69 Barracuda Fastback, and that is the look I am looking for. I have 14" SBP Cragars with 235-60-14s all the way around. I think the Cragars have 3.5 Backspace. I have plenty of clearance now, so I was thinking that as long as I stayed with pretty much the same height, tire width and backspace, I would be OK. Plus, I would think my nice Cragars would be worth something.

Harrisonm, I didn't do anything up front really, I have tubular uppers with 1.03" torsion bars and the tires for perfectly. They do rub ever so slightly on the mud flaps when turning, but it's nothing I'm going to worry about. The rear is mini tubbed with inboarded SS springs on it. The rear fenderlip has been trimmed back a little as well. I used to run a 28x13.50 slick out back, so there is a ton of room.

I think you'd be ok doing that. Its more or less the approach I took, the front wheels are the same offset with a little wider tire and my rears are actually narrower, but I did the math to figure out backspacing to put the outer edge in the same spot.

Hey...........your my neighbour ......... car looks great... but never seen it around ....

Yup, LBP. It has the SSBC disc conversion up front with the large factory drums and Moser Alloy shafts out back.

That car is begging to be lowered front and back. Besides that, it looks good! :D
