Hi guys ! I decided to go with tge cheapest way for my cuda built , i bought a 440 for cheap that i will sell because i aquired a super nice 5.9 this week and want to dress it up like a 340 , stock 300hp 360 magnum pushed 320hp/420tq carburated and with the 380hp cam it pushed 410hp/440tq that is amazing on the street...so i have Milly that came into our world at the end of november....bought my 71 this summer ans still saving for our house*** so!!! Since my cuda was born 340 4 speed ill go small block and stick : i was thinking going with the 5.9 but with the 5.2 cam ;Stock valve lift for a 5.2 is .432 inch.
Stock valve lift for a 5.9 is .410 inch ... Since im in a realy tight budget didnt want to spend a fortune on a cam retainers springs etc...since the 318 cam is cheap , but i never drove a stock 5.9 cam .385/410 llift..looks to be dead after 4500rpm !! Man on a budget needs the best small block combination for a nice street cruiser with a big of power !
