Kiril was on fire for the wild.

Quick shout out to the Pittsburgh Penguins fans for cheering for Fleury last night, even though the Penguins lost to him, during what may be the last game he plays at PPG Arena.

Classy move, Pittsburgh.

Penguins are struggling thus far, maybe Sidney Crosby is starting to show his age.

Jets lost to the Make Believes on Monday night, some very sloppy defensive play led to at least 3 Toronto goals. Still have the top power play in the league and are now 8-1 heading into tonight's game against the Red Wings.

Jets are looking to go to 12-1, leading the Utah hockey club 2-0 midway through the 3rd period. Absolutely amazing start to the season.

Crosby, Malkin, Letang....All of them were a little quiet last night, and given that they are all about the same age, I wonder....
Not much to wonder. Sid still is consistent but has been trying to get the younger guys to step up. The last guy he mentored (Geuntzel) is now making millions elsewhere. Geno (Malkin) has been in a slump for a decade give or take. Letang sadly can't keep up with these younger kids.

I did not know this, but the only other team in NHL history to start the season at 13-1 is the Ottawa Senators, no team has ever been 14-1. Saturday afternoon they play the Dallas Stars.

That's an impressive streak going there!
It sure is, beat Dallas 4-1 today, now the only team in NHL history to win 14 of the first 15 games of the season. Even the Dallas Stars play by play and color analyst were praising the Jets effort as a team.

Man the Leafs were painful to watch last night against Sens. Lost 3-0, but even at that shitty score it was flattering to the Leafs. Sens dominated them.
Oh and Matthew's out for 4th straight game due to "injury" is suspect. Media mentioned the other day something about the salary cap playing a role??

I agree, I am smelling something fishy about the Matthews thing.

I was listening to the game on the radio Friday night and they mentioned Matthew's not playing was more a cap issue between Matthews and Connor Dewar then it was an injury? This was mentioned by Joe Bowen and Jim Ralph. They are the Laeafs Radio crew and reputable. No idea how this is playing into the cap, but if I was Matthews and a newly appointed Captain I'd be fn pissed! A quick Google search this morning mentions nothing about the cap, just the Leafs being cautious about an upper body injury lol.
