made a prototype fan shroud from fiberglass and had a local fabrication guy bend and weld one up for my Champion 22" radiator NICE tight fit and forgot about the power steering pump but nothing a die grinder couldn't fix
no more over heating !!!!!!!!!

Not trying to be a @ss but it needs a few more welds. Weld at the mounting bracket fold around and down the curvature of the brackets to the round piece.

Nice industrial shaped setup if you maybe need to cool a 900hp engine, or cover up other issues with the cooling system.
With all the open holes and gaps in the construction I'm fairly sure a factory stock shroud would mostlikely get the same or even better results.
Any pics of the 900hp engine?

Stock shroud won’t fit a champion radiator. So you have to make something. Stock shroud has gaps too.
when i take it apart this winter I will get the joints welded//It is a prototype//the guy was nice to work with and the shroud cost me less than a beat up "614" shroud $125 and i think a hell of a lot better looking than those kits that don't fit or also have to be modified to work with a stock 18 inch fan blade

X2 I just tried it tonight, pulled the radiator, stock shroud is a no go.
The inlet and outlet necks must be closer together, or the radiator is shorter, because the stock shroud will not even sit between the necks.

I second that notion. Stock will NOT work properly with a champion. I myself am getting rid of my champion and going with Cold case. A vendor on this forum. my 318 still over heats in short stop and go traffic in about 2 minutes. sucks!

Do you have an overflow catch reservoir?
I noticed with the old 65, there is no recovery tank. It would puke out the hose along the side of the radiator out on the ground. I found myself having to add coolant all the time or it would get hot. Ordered a 92 Dodge Dakota recovery jug and made a bracket and it fits like it is a stock set up along the left of the radiator, in front of the battery tray.
No more overheating and no more having to add water.
