This is the trip for me!

The thing is, that time is non stop driving.
I’ll break my 14-15 hour drive into two. I’ll drive 10 hours or so and wrap it up in a hotel, eat, sleep, shower & shave. I’ll be feeling great after that. Then the next few hours won’t be so bad on the road as I’ll also be pumped up for the show.

Last time I was in the US I drove to Dallas and back in 64 hours team driving with my Dad. I would definitely take a lot more time this go around!

It's not impossible that I might chicken out and trailer down too! I love Duster road trips though!

Im just scared to death about breaking something major and being stranded 9 hours from home. Lol that would be a hell of a tow bill to tow a broken car that far.

That's the same thing going through my mind. Maybe once down there I could leave my truck and trailer somewhere and do some road trips.

A trailer is not a bad thing. Road tripping and traveling is one thing, but, IF I hurt or break the car… yea…..
I don’t wanna be stranded. Screw that!

Exactly!!!!!

I was wondering that last night I wonder if they would let you leave your tow rig at the track and then you could drive your hotrod back to the hotel and cruise at night

I'm only registered for Friday. I can't stay Saturday.

There are many ifs for me yet. I'm about 495 subscribers short and have 1 - 7 second video posted. Will the damn border be open then? I'm going to give it a shot. Even if the 500 Subs and the trip failed, I am still going to do it for my own fun and enjoyment!

I will have to decide what to bring. It will either be a Dodge, Ford or Plymouth. :thankyou:

Having made both the drives you outlined going South I can tell you hands down the 29 route is a much easier drive and way less traffic and big city nonsense, especially pulling a trailer as I am generally pulling a race trailer so think wide!
PS I got room to stash your truck and trailer if you want to do so. Heck depending on how much Bourbon we drink I might be a stowaway for the ride.

Heck I could go and eat free for both days as 1/2 the guys there owe me a dog and a beer (my standard fee for most surplus race parts) for this part or that. The whole thing just sounds like a total hoot to me and just a serious good time. I do think the 500 subscribers is a bit unrealistic for the audience they are trying to reach?
