I know its not a A-body, but what would be best for power/toque to economy for my truck? 2005 dakota 4.7L. Would an X pipe to dual mufflers or true dual be better for power and mileage?

4.7L is stock, small diameter headers, throttle body spacer, cold air, and might see one of those superchips.

xpipe is going to benefit power sound quality and millage, it equalizes exhaust pressure on all cylinders and has a scavenging effect

3'' exhaust headers to x-pipe about 3 foot of pipe between headers to the x-pipe, then all the pipe has equal bends to 40series detal flowmaster mufflers, after that 3'' tails with cheap resonated tips
