After being fed up with the random no crank/no start issue with the Duster and never knowing when I'll need to jump the relay with a screwdriver I finally pulled the whole NSS harness out and dissected yrs of electrical tape down to bare wires. I've already replaced the starter relay, ign switch, nss, starter etc while doing other things so the harness itself was basically the last piece of the puzzle un-attended too. This carnage is what I found. Multiple splices in multiple location with crappy crimp connector from over the years of patching. So I cut it out close to the bulkhead connector, spliced the wires together to bypass the switch just to test if it would crank...fired right up no problemo! Needless to say I'd fail tech at the track without a functional NSS, and I dont want to drive it without one anyway. So a new harness is needed...bad. Ordered one from Classic Industries...but it's for a 72-74 B/E body auto...they dont have one for an 70, auto A body! Only 69 A body, manual trans! Then a bunch for various years of B/E bodies both manual or auto! After looking at the pics, the one I ordered looks the exact same as the one I pulled off on both ends....so hoping they are pretty much the same! If not anyone know where you can get a new harness and not just the connector with pigtails to splice in? I cant seem to find an exact replacement full harness anywhere...

You can get the connector from Evans Wiring and make your own its pretty easy its only a 3 wire 2 go to the bulkhead for the rev. lights and one to the start relay.hardest part is crawling under the car

I don't believe there is a difference in those 3 wire switches or connectors.
Only difference would be in the length of the wires.

PM me your address and i'll send you one out of an auto 72'? dart. pretty sure 70' up are all the same. no splices, plug n' play

Hey guys thanks for all the replies....sorry for not checking back in sooner! I actually found what Imthink will work from Classic Industries and ordered it. Should be here today. If it doesn't work then we will gomfrom there! Looks like it should though. It's an E body piece but looks the same.

Kursplat- if this part Imordered doesn't work Ill be in touch! Thanks a lot for the offer!

Ill post results after the UPS guy shows up today ....

Joe - I need the whole enchilada....not just the pigtail connector (my whole harness from NSS switch to this connector is basically toast....from this connector to the bulkhead is still good) so....

I got this in the mail today, whole new harness which is great, exactly what I need...except I need to disconnect it at this section. My old harness connector (female bottom section) just pulled apart from the male section....the new one seems like it's "snapped" together, it wont just pull apart. Any ideas? From the outside the connectors look identical old vs new! Not sure how this connector comes apart??? Driving me crazy! The one end I need (left side) is exactly what I need to plug into my existing right side going to my bulk-head and is still in good shape. New right side is not, cause I had to order the E body version to get the correct section I need all in one piece. I thought I'd be able to just pull it apart (like my old one) and just push it onto my existing section! How do I get this thing apart to avoid splicing the good wires into this old connector (bottom)??

Hi, i have a 72 Plymouth Duster. I'm working on my NSS harness now. It is on an auto trans. My harness is good from the transmission up the the 3 prong connector that plugs into the bulk head, but i can not find the plug to plug the NSS harness into. Any ideas or anyone have a 72 that could tell me where its normally at or where to look. It would help tons.
Any suggestion or ideas.!!!
Thank you.!
