Now you know.
To fit into the racing classes then, they had to meet certain requirements. Just as the SuperBird had to meet a certain # built to run NASCAR. Funny thing is there is still a lot of doubt that they ever did that, or was was that the 69 Datona? Lots of questions from back then. Like the 65 Chevelle w/396. Most were pure race cars that never saw street driving. I know one that made it to street but only after being bastardized. Car was give to a pro racer then but he never raced it. Later he sold the motor and trans. Finally he removed all the fiberglass parts and put in an Olds motor and sold it. What a shame. I would be more upset but afterall it was a Chebby.
