Odd question: Shift knob

I made a shifter knob that looked lke a piston when I was in high school.
It was used in my Gremlin. Its top was done in turned design like the factory stuff on the instrument panel. I used rubber O rings in the ring grooves. It was still in the car when sold.
Modifying the automatic shifter was a greater challenge...
