Off set upper control arm bushings

What’s the opinion on using the off set upper control arm bushing to get more positive caster?

Just make sure you install them correctly- NOT how the included instructions tell you. Plenty of threads on this already, no need to repeat it all here.
 
Were these ever offered in Polyurethane, or are y'all running the Moogs?
 
I don't run them, my alignment guy does OK with the standard bushings. Next engine swap will get Firm Feel upper control arms with more positive caster.

to my knowledge, no.

i've been running the moogs in pretty much everything for the last 25+ years. i don't see any appreciable, or tangible difference to running poly uppers in a standard arm.

most aftermarket arms come with poly and already have positive caster built into them. if they're not rod end adjustables, that is.
 
I've never seen them in poly. Also too, much to our dismay, MOOG is slipping badly in the past few years since they have gone overseas now. So, INSPECT your bushings closely and make sure the rubber fills in between the bushing shells completely. I've seen many sets where the rubber had spaces and gaps and was not fill in completely. While I once was a fan a long time ago, I no longer am.

while i will not argue one iota on the topic of moog's decline, it seems like the *one* thing that has remained consistent and of good quality is the offset uppers.

i don't know if that's because they're still made in USA, or... if as i suspect, moog isn't even making them, but subbing the work out and boxing them in name only.

on a somewhat related note: the moog ES319S USA made tie rod adjuster sleeves are noticeably beefier than their duralast counter parts. just as like, another data point.

I actually recommend new aftermarket upper control arms, such as what QA1 offers. They're nice. New ball joints, forever poly bushings and they've been reangled for much better caster. That's what I have for Vixen. Going on when I do the disc brake swap.
 
Instructions are fine, the dopes made the front of the car the bottom of the illustration IIRC. Also people want to reference the hole with the arrows, not the arrows on the bushings.

People don't notice and put them in backwards thinking the front of car is top, which makes sense.
