Being that is an inch thick and offset do I need a pushrod that’s more than an inch longer. Is it best to get an adjustable push rod or just legnthen the factory rod. Thanks. Kim

Get an adjustable push rod and bolt it to the outboard side of the brake pedal

Mine is 1/2" thick. I cut the rod in half, threaded it and put it back together w/ a threaded rod coupling, adjusted it to 1/2" longer , welded it up, the turned it down to look like a car part, still on the fish , works great, no cost, had the coupling laying around--------------

What does this offset adapter do? I havent had my car together (383 4 speed 67 barracuda) as it came in boxes. Easier to get the valve cover off? I thought it was a HEMI thing.....Thanks for the education. Sorry if Im hijacking....

It moves the master cylinder over 7/8" some 440s need it all hemis do. There are adapters that also convert to a two bolt modern M/C and offset. I'm looking for a 2.5" offset which also requires a brake pedal mod so I can pull hemi valve covers off without unbolting the M/C

raised port victor type, 440 heads in a 68 fastback , even had to mill the lower back part of the valve cover fin off.

I got this from Mike Roth at MR2 performance. 765-483-9371
You have to modify the brake pedal for the brake push rod

I welded a stand off to the pedal a long bolt and a Dr. Diff push rod. He also sends a piece of chrome moly if you want to move the pedal left of the substructure and re-bend the pedal. A 4 speed may have to.

Very nice. My car is a 4 gear car so the brake pedal is pretty low to the floor as it is. It’s a race car now with an auto. Kim

Not my car, but I think this is the MR2 adapter
