Finally got my truck runnin today after I had to have the heads redone.....again. Got back from the test drive and checked everything and water is getting in the oil real bad. Not smoking or skippin so I think the head gaskets are ok. I am almost certain one of the intake gaskets slipped and it's getting in that way. It aint as bad as pullin the whole thing back down but it's bad a damn nuff. I was hopin I had it licked. Dammit all.

I hope so. It has taken all week for me to get this far. Bein disabled sucks balls. There may be an insurance claim if I have to take the heads back off.

Do you think suckin balls caused the Disability?

ARRRGH!! I hate tearing stuff right back apart,'especially on a
DD!! Hope it's something easy!! Geof

Me too cause it's holdin OTHER stuff up. Like YOUR carburetor. THAT'S what's pissin me off.

That sucks Rob.
My Mother always used to say "Sometimes you're the windshield, and sometimes you're the bug"
Does sound like an intake leak.

Rob, talk to your doctor about fukitol, good stuff. The only side effect I experience is apathy.

Years ago I had a Chevy truck as a daily driver. I work as a carpenter/framer, so a truck is needed. The truck was getting old and had a ton of miles on it. I was working on that truck every other day tring to fix oil leaks, vacuum leaks, strange noises, rattles and anything else. The engine had 70,000 on it but the truck had 440,000 miles! In the 9 years I owned it, I replaced the trans three times, the rear end twice, painted it twice, did numerous brake jobs....
Finally in 2002 when I was restoring the Charger I had zero interest in working on the truck when the Charger needed me! I ended up buying my first new vehicle ever at the age of 36...A 2002 Ram 1500. I swore that I'd never buy a new vehicle. "What could a new truck do that my Chevy couldn't?"
Uhhh, the Dodge held its oil. The Dodge didn't smoke. The Dodge got better mileage, had A/C, was quieter, smoother and just as powerful even with the 4.7. Most important of all, the Dodge allowed me the FREE time to finish the Charger.
To me, the $326 monthly payment was worth it. Now I have a 2007 Ram that is closing in on 165,000 miles. I have 2 payments left on this one. Hopefully I wont have any parts start falling off of this one anytime soon.
I'll tell you this, the older rigs sure are easier to fix!
