So who runs one? Any setups to avoid? Did you see a reduction in coolant temperature?

Main reason I’m looking at an oil cooler is for a reduction in coolant temps. Packaging is an issue with my car but hoping someone can chime in on if it’s worth the effort or not.

As always, thanks in advance.

With a turbo I would think it would be a good idea.

They make stand alone types with built in fans, mount anywhere

This is my set up on my 71. Oil on the left, Trans on the right, and Power steering below. Used rivnuts to give it some stand off from the core support. Bracket holding the oil and trans is off the shelf from Derale and I powder coated it Hydo Blue to match the car.

I agree when using a turbo, but an oil cooler to reduce coolant temps? Don't see that happening.

I’ve seen conflicting results from people, so I figured I’d ask around. Definitely a struggle to keep the car cool but I’m sure it’ll end up with an oil cooler regardless of the coolant temperature.
