fellows i need your help please. this is my first 318 engine rebuild. it's out of my 81 pick-up tow truck. i'm trying to remove the screw bolt/thingy that holds the oil filter on the side of the block. there is a square hole in it. does it unscrew counter clockwise or clockwise?

i am not sure, but my opinion is screw it counter clock wise, like way you unscrew bottle cap.

It will unscrew counterclockwise with a 3/8" drive extension in the square hole. Found this out after I buggered up the first one I tried to remove many, many years ago.
