oil light on after washing engine compartment

so i degreesed my engine bay and now my oil light is on. had this happen once before but it went off. this time its stays on. i can shut off the engine and crank it back and it will stay off a few seconds then comes back on. car is full of oil and had no prob before i washed it. just a garden hose btw and no pressure washer. no noise or anything. wires look good on sender.

let it dry and check the sender wire connection next to the distributer.

You can also spray some WD40 on the problem areas, it will extract any water or moisture that make have gotten in.

If that doesn't work check with a mechanical gauge. You should get rid of the idiot light anyway.

let it all dry still light staying on so i messed with the wire and it broke so hope that is the only cause thanks
