I pulled the valve covers off the 340 today to see why the lifters are so noisey, i found the shafts were put in wrong , thats no problem to fix, my question is in the oil to the shafts, I assume oil is fed via the rocker stands. is this correct? , also is a banjo bolt used ? if so what is the proper location? i seen to have no oil to the two rear cylinders on the drivers side, and that is where most of the noise is comming from. thanks again for your help

As yoou may well know - notch on the end of the shaft goes to the front on Drivers side and the the back on passenger side - small holes down. Oil comes to the rockers shafts in 2 locations - 2nd bolt back on Drivers side and 4th bolt back on passenger side. If the shafts are scored/gauled you really should get new shafts and rockers as the gauling will likely continue even if you get the shafts in correctly. make sure the 8 small oiling holes in each shaft are not plugged too.

thanks for the help, looks like i will replace the rockers and shafts, are the two oil transfer bolts a special bolt to allow the oil to transfer to the shafts?

95% sure they are the same bolts as the others. Hopefully someone will back me up on this or teach me something new. :)

Change your 95% to 100% correct. Look down each shaft stand and notice the holes are not all the same. The oil comes up the stand around the bolt. No special bolts.
The shaft and rocker rplacement idea is a very good on if there damaged. MoPar sells HD shafts and HD rockers.
