while I am on the intake doing the sending units, what are you guys running for oil temp sending units on a 360. The one that is on here looks like a big dome. I will post a pic later today. I was going to hook up a guage to make sure I was getting oil pressure when I fire it up but I dont know what was on a car for a unit. This was an RV engine. Is it possible to run a 'T' setup and run a sending unit to the dummy guage on the instrument cluster and an oil guage. thanks

That may be a challenge because it is very tight back there with the firewall and the distributor.

The stock oil sender is huge considering its function. I suppose a couple of pipe fittings would tilt it 90 degrees allowing a live line oil gauge fitting be added there too.
Whatever you do, beware that stock sender wire. Most of those are bare metal terminals today. If it should be grounded when the ignition switch is turned on , it can fry the stock gauge in 3 minutes or less.

thanks redfish. so the stock oil sender is the dome type canister I have now. I tried to take a pic but it didnt come out. Yes, it is very tight. It sets right under the vacuum advance on the dist.

For my '74 Duster I bought a brass tee and a threaded nipple/pipe from Lowes. I used the Oil Pressure Sending Unit for a Dodge D50 (small in diameter & height) on the Tee to gain some space. It's about 1/8th the size of the stock canister and operates on the same ohm range.

On my '84 D50 I didn't have enough space to fit a sending unit at all, so I ran a copper oil line from the sending unit port to the fenderwell, installed the Tee, mechanical gauge line and sending unit.

If you take the approach I used on my D50 don't forget to mount/ground the Tee to metal.
