Here's mine, 1938 half ton.

In a couple more years !
But this is what it looks like now,
Rack and pinion disc brakes and tubular upper and lwr.

With the new shoes and rims, rear 4 link with panhard bar and coil-overs.
View attachment IMG_2439.JPG

The ride height is set, a little 318 and OD trans sitting in it now for reliability and long drives.
But a small Hemi is in the plans.

I have all the body panels, this is what I started with,

here is my 38 project, I dont have any current pics but i now have the top chopped 2" and the cab blasted and ready for the bodywork to begin. I do have fenders and will be useing them. It has a 340/a518 combo with 83/4 rear. Fatman frontend, boxed rails, custom 4 link rear, custom frame x bracing. it should be fun when done

Wow! That was a ton of work and turned out awesome!

Thanks,

We had not expected to have to get that deep into it.
but, we feel better, after the total build, knowing everything has been check out

002-3.jpg

The seller of the car hauler lied, never told us about the rotted floors
only said had a little rust (meaning only a little rust remaining) :D
the rest was fiberglass

004-2.jpg

it worked out better for us, cause now with the cummmins firewall it looks factory, plus, now have the Le package, and A/C, cruise control, plus extended the cargo area

013-3.jpg

still looks like a 73 from the outside.

We cut the 92 radiator support to keep the round head lights. and keeping the 73 theme, used a 73 cuda tail panel for the rear tail lights. :D

As soon as we finish tubbin the dart/moving the springs

We will get back to finishing the hauler this winter

Back in the pulling days. Stroked 440,727 and 208.

That is way cool. I'm in Union Grove, NC. The 340 in it for power is classy

That was just a joke, referencing a truck used in a Goldie Hawn movie. (Overboard)
You should check it out, very funny. Looks like the same truck.
I used to have a 69 power wagon. Had to put er down. Rusted out everywhere even the frame. Sure do miss that truck, would go anyplace and drove real nice as long as I stayed off
The pavement.

FYI

I did buy this truck from a guy in CA that provides props for the movie industry
