Old expressions that no longer apply

I still use "Land o'Goshen" as an exclamation. And I say plumb to mean level...not sure who all knows what I'm saying, other than my wife.
 
'Tough row to hoe' would be lost today, probably 'coin of the realm'..."We're cooking with gas, now!".
.or when you get to Church on Sunday and the preacher is hoeing just a little to close to the corn

Sorry, pet peeve Plumb is vertical, level is horizontal. I know tradesmen that do this. One day I’m going to do it when I’m told to build my brick corner level.

A couple my mom would zing us with when we made bad decisions or argued with her:

“You only use your head to balance your butt.”

“You’re talking just to hear your brains rattle, and you’re getting gyped.”
 
“And the watch still ticks!”

“Wouldn’t you really rather have a Buick? 66 Buick, this year!”

“A little dab will do you.”
 
Have not heard anyone say they filled their car up for 10 bucks in awhile
