I've got two old Craftsman boxes I call the "track boxes", plus an 80s vintage Easco that I bought at age 17 when i went into tech school. Plus a smaller size top and bottom Craftsman roller I when when I got laid off and had to go back to wrenching, and my Snap On rollaway Harley box. They should not be refinished IMO unless you got them and it's not your history. I know the bends, the dents, the scrapes by heart. I'm eventually getting my granfathers tool box - he made it out of wood in the 1920s, and my fathers which is a Craftsman from the early 60s.
