I need to know how to stop the water from leaking inside the rear-floorboards when it rains, the top doesn't attach for about 8", from the window back, and when the top is up, water runs down and floods the floorboards? I had to take two tops (parts) and put together one top that worked, ahd a new top put on the rails, but, the shop had never seen a 1964 Plymoth Valiant before, so could use some tips?
Thanks Kelly

Welcome, but you couldn't have posted in a more incorrect section...Hahahaha.

I hope a mod moves this for you and you get it fixed.

Think I moved it to the right "spot", thanks for the help, I'm new here and not very "PUTER" smart...as you very well know...LOL There is so much to "search" and lots of info and input, could go numb on the bottom, hanging around here...LOL

What the others mean is; you posted a question for help in the "Parts for Sale" section.
Hey mods, help a newbie out!

Hey Mods, We need to move this to help our friend...

So it's a '64 Valiant convertible... and the top won't close all the way? Or is it that water is coming in between the top and the quarter panel (behind rear side glass) and ending up down in the back seat floor pan?

Have you got any pictures you could post? and who is Ole? is he Sweedish?

First thing I'd do is get the carpet and pad out, and put it in a dry place.
Second, I'd remove the rubber plugs in the floor pan so any water can drain.
Third, I'd invest $40 on a cheap car cover from ebag, if not garaged.

you are missing the two pieces of metal that go on the inner 1/4 to hold the top to the inner 1/4 that channel water into the trough(gutter) they can be made out of some strips of 16 ga.steel they are installed with three sheet metal screws.

Hey "Waggin", thanks for the info and the pic's.....I put this car together, which had been taken a-part 15 yrs. before I got it, never having seen the car, let-a-lone taking it apart, well if ya been there ya know what I mean!!!! I remember the "strips" of metal in the pic's, don't know where they are, but like ya said they will be easy to make, again thanks......A BUNCH (Now I candrive in the "RAIN" ;) )...... I'll try to get some pic's on and will find that piece of 'trim' metal that goes somewhere, and see if we can figure where it soes...LOL
