On the pickin road again

I bought some fenders from @Princess Valiant several years ago. Cheapest way to get them from CO to NC was on the Greyhound. Greyhound carried them back and forth across the country....not kidding, 4 times! They were supposed to be dropped off in Johnson City, TN on the first pass, but for some reason kept driving by that bus terminal 4 1/2 times back and forth across the country. I called the terminal when I saw them on tracking, coming back west from Philly for the 4th time. Luckily, the guy I talked to was a car guy and told me he'd check the bus himself when it came in. He called me the next day and told me to come get my fenders. He had them hidden and said come get them the next day when he was working. If Naomi hadn't packed them to withstand a nuclear blast, they may have gotten beat up. This was all during Covid's initial outburst, so that may or may not have come into play with Greyhound. Sounds like they've since stopped.

Ya unfortunately not much good to be salvaged off this one. The disc may be the only savior. Has a big bolt 7.25 rear. May just scrap it along with the rest of the rust. The guy wanted $675 . I got it for 225. Be lucky to break even after going to get it. I just don't understand why people let this stuff sit and rot and then decided they want to sell it. And then still think it's worth it's weight in Gold.
I wouldn't have chunked the calipers. Those were core charges.

I sent a pair of bucket seats to St. Louis. Tracking sucked. Then finally it showed it arrives in St. Louis but they didn't notify anyone. So I called the buyer and he drove there and made them look for it. Was there in the back somewhere for a few days. They sucked and needed to get out of the shipping biz.
