I say any Mopar 8 3/4 housing and carrier be it 741,742, 488, 489
( 488 is a brief precursor to 489),

1957-74 has the same mounting pattern , this gasket is correct for those applications
Could it be said "any 8 3/4 Mopar axle housing from 1957-74" ???

it's been like that since the 80s.i wonder if it's meant to be for the 8.75 7 anna quarter.i pulled a 65 rear apart a while back and it had a tiny carrier,ring n pinoin and spider gears.the rear came out of a slant 6 coronet.

Could be south of the border it has a different designation, likewise, Mopar had different designations over seas
