Im about to start building a budget 360 magnum here pretty soon I'm won't go into that too much in this thread I plan on starting a engine build thread like I did on my last 360 when I get more of the details worked out. My question is for the people who have had a cam reground thru Oregon in the last year or so how much does it cost to have one reground? I've looked their site over and over and cannot find a price list. I know it would have to be cheaper than a new cam. I want to do a true budget build and gonna try to pinch pennies where I can I've read alot of good things about their regrinds and want to give it a try. Just curious on the cost. I don't want to call amd bother them months before I'm ready to ship it out. Thanks

$220ish shipped after tax for a regrind and lifters on a slant six cam. After I sent them a core of course.
I'm sure it would be alot cheaper without the lifters then. It's a roller cam I'm reusing the original lifters.

220 and 100 core.

I ordered mine a month ago and still waiting so plan on it taking a few weeks.

I got the 213/220 grind for my 360.

So If I provide a core the 100 is dropped? I have two or 3 factory roller cams to choose from I'm sure one of them have to be "core" worthy.

Best thing is to call them.
Not only that... ask for Ken... if not there.. leave a message for him to call ya back...
Of course for me I drive over there and we have a conversation about my expectations of the cam and he laughs at me... shakes his head.. and tells me what he recommends ... two years ago $99 bucks exchange...
10 years ago $79 exchange...
The first time I just went balls to the wall and got it... FUN...
for about two years.. then I brought that same cam in and had it reground in to what he suggested and I've just followed that from there...

Dartfreak after you call can you please report back with a price, Im really interested in getting one of my core 340 cams reground to a 68-4 speed cam... Rich

I don’t or wouldn't know how much shipping back n forth would be...
Really though you can call out any spec your core could handle I'm sure... you could technically have a one off cam...

I had a /6 one done what 3 years ago... Or so
I dunno if the mildness or wildness of your chosen cam plays a part in price...
Mine is basically a couple steps over stock, basically a good RV/ truck grind. Actually pretty mild.
But shipping there and back cost me almost the same as what they changed for the cam.
Cam was 80, rebuild the fuel pump lobe (weld up and regrind) was another $40, I got some SI oversized/6 valves and a set of lifters from them too/ they were like ~$/ea ish cheaper than Hughes wanted for them at the time. I don't remember what he charged me for the valves or the lifters offhand. Turnaround time on the cam was like 3 days once the pony Express got the cam to them, longest waiting was for the valves to get from their supplier to them so they could ship all together.

for the cam, lifters and valve springs its a little oner 500 dollars. gonna take close to a month to get too. i have a complete kit on the shelf i just bought a few months ago from oregon.

I spoke to Ken about 2 months ago ,inquiring about having a couple cams ground. He quoted me $75 each and $5 to resurface old lifters if I wanted that too. Ken is a wealth of knowledge cam wise .
