These engines have performance features not on later engines, very good engine stock to rebuild or race

It's listed on
Ft Collins, Colorado, Facebook marketplace for $295, COMPLETE and running when pulled at 156k

I'm sick I can't get this.
Good luck to someone else

Just for my edification, I have seen people make claims like this mostly based on the idea that the R/Ts had the "R/T" heads, but has been shown time and time again to not be the case. The other thing it might be is the larger (2-1/8") opening on the exhaust manifolds. Are you saying there is some other performance element that makes these more desireable?

Again, not an argument, just trying to understand in case I'm missing something.

I purposefully did not cast any specific notion or idea I had heard or read, lest I be accused of putting put bad info.

Incorrect, same engine as a higher 5.9 Magnum.

I had no idea you had this item for sale. Most interesting.

Rear flex plate attached?

Good motors except the cast heads, they tended to crack between valves. New heads are cheap and solve it though. My '01 Dakota was still running strong at 285k when a dumbass pulled in front of me, destroying one of the best trucks I've had.

150K is potentially still good for another 50K or more before a rebuild is necessary.

Mine has 177K and runs as it did with only 30K on the clock.

2 1/8 outlet exh manifolds

I don't think anyone considers the large ex manifolds as special R/T parts, especially since I got mine from a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a van.

I'm sure it's a good motor, but it's nothing "special"..

Thanks for bringing it to our attention though, I'm sure someone will get some good use out of it.
