output shaft bearing removal trouble

Hello folks,

Im trying to tear down my 727 for a rebuild and ran into a major snag! I have removed the tailshaft housing and the snap ring behind the output shaft bearing, and i have moved the snap ring in front of the bearing forward. There is a ridge behind the rear snap ring that the bearing will not fit over.. no way no how. It is 5 thousandths thicker than the journal for the bearing. What now??

I know they had to get that bearing on there somehow...

Any help would be great. Thanks,

It comes off after you have the output shaft out of the trans, so it goes the other way to come off.
