I think for blocking and final prep, then a nice paint job, that $3,500 is a good deal. There's a guy on Moparts named Darrah who has a late '60s Dart with a big block, who lives in the Richmond VA area. Anyway, his car is like FE5 Red, he had one quarter hung, car was blocked then prepped and painted with base/clear. Car looks great; he paid the same ballpark money for what you are getting, and the quarters were hung as separate job.
Darrah attends VT I think, and told me he would give me the shop contact info. if I wanted it. I'm up in Northern VA. and have a '71 340 Duster that has an older enamel paint job, that I'm considering re-doing, as part of bringing this car up to a higher standard of restoration.
Anyway, I think you are getting a good deal on this job, as body and paint has become really expensive.
