Paint matching

So my car is the absolute perfect colour. Just the right shade of yellow for the vehicle.
My issue here is that it will need some bodywork some day and The colour is not quite like any of the ones I can find.

So the question is, has anyone here had their car paint matched. If so then how did it turn out.

I had a few spots done on my car , the body shop had the paint guy bring in a computerized device. They set it up on a clean section of the paint, turned it on and it gave them a "Recipe" to mix the paint. The car came out great, matched perfect. A lot has to do with the painter, they told me some colors are harder than others to match.

Oh well thats good to know. hopefully I could get that kind of result for me.

The color matching cameras can be very helpful but not perfect and many times the best way to assure an match that can't be detected is to blend the adjacent panels.
