painted duster bumpers?

So i saw a member's website with a wicked 70 duster w/painted front and rear bumpers. And since i'm broadening my search to include 73/74 dusters/dart sports i was wondering if anyone had done painted bumpers on those years??

I'm not a fan of chrome on most vehicles.

yeah i know, but i was more wondering what they look like at this point, or if anyone had tried doing it.

Painted the bumpers on my dart sport because I was too cheap to have the bumpers rechromed. Works pretty good on a race car and even gets a few compliments.

All I did was wipe them off with Prep-Sol and then spray with epoxy primer, followed with a urethane 2K primer surfacer and the the Nason 2K Fullthane paint.

Not a fan of painted bumpers it makes the car look cheap,like the owner was too cheap to have them re-chromed..[-X[-X
