[Found!] Parking brake return spring for 10” drums

I’m looking for a single parking brake return spring for 10” drum brakes. I’ve attached a pic of the spring I need.

Spring in picture is installed incorrectly. Might be the same spring on a 9"?

The 9" drum parking brake strut spring is different.
The 10" and 11" drum parking brake strut springs were the same part
and had part number 2533822

that is just an anti-rattle spring,
the return spring is on the cable

those are avail at napa, if you find an old guy to help you. might get lucky and find 1-2 younger fellas to help you

I just noticed the spring is installed differently between the two pics I posted. Which is the proper way?

Yeah I tried a spring from a 9” brake but it wouldn’t fit over the bar.

I got a set of these springs from my local NAPA. If you need the part number let me know, I think I still have the box they came in.

That spring on the cross bar should have the tab to the outside or drum side not towards the axle tube.

I agree the return spring is on the cable. Also the spring at the parking brake handle. All three work together.

My neighbor said he knows he has a can of them somewhere, just a matter of finding them. I let you know if he doesn’t come through in the next few days.

I found the box from NAPA, the springs come in a set of two and were pretty cheap - like a couple of bucks. The part number is 80744.
