I have a question on my 1965 Dodge Dart. If I turn on the parking lights all light up. When I turn on the regular headlamps the parking lights in the front go off. The back lights stay on. Is it just the way it was back in 65 or do I have a problem?

Thanks so much to all that answer.

Yes, and all Mopar did to change it was to MOVE ONE WIRE

IF you look at the late headlight switches THEY STILL HAVE the P contact in the switch, but it's not hooked up!!

That's because Mopar moved the park light feed over to the tail light terminal on the switch.

Wasn't that easy?

Below is '72 parking light switch. P was old "park" connection, "R" is rear tail lights, where park is hooked now

I thank you for that explanation, 67Dart273. You should be teaching a course.
