My TF single plane intake from Summit is scheduled for an October delivery date. Nothing I can do but wait. Good thing I'm old and patient.

I placed my order with Summit for this exact same intake on 3/9. Still haven't recieved it. The shipping date keeps getting pushed back. Not feeling hopeful. I ordered an Indy intake as a backup in April. It hasnt shipped either.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that there isn’t much steel coming in from China at the moment. That means whatever steel is made here is getting bought up by the big players in the industry. The OEM’s, big manufacturing and such.

The little guys who buy steel in relatively small amounts can’t compete with a company that orders steel in the hundreds of tons at a time.

Another reason why letting all that manufacturing move overseas was bad.

I went to Alro to pick up some steel plates I was having made for a project up north. Ordered them first thing in the morning, had them by 2:30. Seems they’re not short on my item

I give you my word I'll get my donor set of J heads to you in July. My back and knee issues have been hampering me, but our brief visit motivated me greatly. Ask my wife about my CC bills, but not complaining.
 
Still no cam. Week 12. Called summit. They said they would check on it and call back or email me. That was 6 days ago. Argh.

Just got a email. No cam till 11/1/21. Ordered 4/13/21. This is the third date they have given me. I’m done. Cancelling order. Sick of the lies.
 
...........Juz' read this morning, many ships sitting off the coast, "the claim" is that related to covid
 
Called Herbert cams. Gave them my specs. Very good to deal with. Have it done by wed. Be at my door next Tuesday.
 
buy from Ebay and use paypal. Im not kidding. If your shipment is late they credit your account. Not my 2 favorite vendors but they actually monitor your shipment and will credit you if its late or will allow you to cancel if its not moving, and your cancellation is through paypal, not the vendor.

Oh my gosh. That is so funny. I did that once. I spent well over an hour fighting the driver's side into place and then saw the starter sitting on my bench. I called it a day and had something a little stronger than beer.
 
A couple of thoughts:
1. Computerized inventory never worked even back in the 90s, the counter guy would look it up, say "it says we have three..."go in the back and come out with none...

2. It helps if they are honest up front, I ordered from Legendary in March they told me it would be Aug-Sept till Id se it, just arrived yesterday not complaining but i was patient about it. and it helped that they told me right away that it would be a while..now i am collecting parts for my car, if Im running a business my customers may not like that long of a wait.
 
All my Chevy friends that have ordered roller cams from this company have gotten there’s in about 6 weeks. Custom grinds.
