I'd been looking for a Mopar for 6 months. Finally found one 3 miles from home! Original owner, 49,000 miles, 225 slant 6, covered it's entire lifetime. Not a single bit of rust! Owner's husband was a paint and body man--repainted it once--a while ago. Even the spare was original and the jack looks like it was never removed. Owners manual and original receipt. I got lucky! It took a little effort to get it running--it was really running rich. Alternator was funky as the needle was pegged to one side. AC car, but the fan wasn't working. The dash and headliner look new and supple. I am going back tomorrow to get the car--I'll post pics once I get them. Yeah baby! :blob:

Was that the green one?

I almost called about that.

YY1, No not the green one. I'd been conversing with the guy about the green one, but he couldn't find the identification number on the block to verify that it was a 340 and not a 318. My research on here led me to believe that the BEST method for engine id was the block casting/stamp number. He was having trouble seeing any numbers. Nice guy. He said it needed a few things. Looked stunning in the photos though. I really wanted something to do myself and this stocker is just what I was looking for. I'm keeping the old slant six and will attempt to beef it up. I've got a lot to learn, but that's part of the fun. Where you located in FL?

If your ammeter needle is pegging out, you need to fix it before you drive it because it has the potential to burn your car up.

My money is on a corroded bulkhead connector.

Thanks gents. I promise pics once I get it today. Just a plain Jane Duster--if there is such a thing.

Got the Duster. Damaged my truck in the process! Damn. Kinda takes some of the joy out of the car purchase. Anyway, here are some pics.

Low deck big block stroker.

Thank you. Here are a few more. I washed her and waxed her this evening. Paint looks great. Is there a paint code on the car somewhere? I'd like to see what the color is. Engine compartment not so clean. But she fires up and drives. Even the E-brake works. Needs be gone through to be made roadworthy. The tires are OLD and the carb isn't working properly. Probably bad old gas isn't helping.
