Have some pics of my engine in the link below. Looks like a lot of oil is coming from the oil filler cap. The tube on the rear of the valve cover is not connected to anything. Is there a pcv valve or???? Where does this tube go?

It looks like you've had some leakage at the grommet. They get brittle and crack, but are available on that same page. I would replace the valve and grommet and connect a new hose to the PCV port on the carb.

Plug the PCV valve into a manifold vacuum outlet either on the base of the carburetor or the intake and that will solve your problem.
Follow the vacuum hose in the picture. From the PCV valve there should be a port at the front base of the carb.Just like Rusty said. Valve covers vary from year to year,this photo shows a bolt in PCV valve.
