Phone app to help women in need

Saw this on a news program Vera App which claims it will help you find ways to save money on your cell phone bill. Then it gives you the chance to donate some portion of those savings to a program that gives micro loans to women who own small businesses. Sounds like a great concept. Has anyone tried this?
