7DUSTER3 asked me to cook him up a Vitamin C colored version of his current ride, a '73 Duster, of course. I worked on it most of yesterday, but I seem to have an issue "Photochopping" cars: I can't go to bed to sleep until they're finished :sleepy3:. So, I ended up sending it off to him this morning at ~2:30am, but I haven't heard back how he likes it yet. What you do guys think?

The first one is his '73 by his place where he wanted the background (you'll note I uprooted his tree for aesthetics ). He wanted the blackout trim like in the second pic, and the third is the hi-res image I used as a starting point. Yep, I had to evict the old guy. In Photoshop, like in real cars, starting with a cleaner ride *always* makes it easier...

HAHA sorry Dan, I've been at work all day and just got home to check out my NEW DUSTER!!! i love it, and am looking forward for the other style hood to make a final decision. My father and i really dig your picture, your work is top notch....

If your bored some time would you do one of my Scamp?

Oh man, do I WISH I was bored! I guess people are digging on my Photoshop skillz, cause I've gotten quite a few requests. I guess that's what happens when you offer free Photoshoppin'!

7DUSTER3's '73 took me about 12 hours to complete, and memike's took about the same time, too. As I get more proficient/efficient, those times may come down. But, time working on Photochops is time spent away from my beloved '65 Valiant 'vert. So, from now on, I will have to charge a nominal ($20/hr) fee, or work out a parts trade arrangement. To be fair to those who have already requested some work (you're one of them, EvilScamp ), it's still totally "on the house". That is, unless you've got some '73- '76 disc-equipped A-body spindles or '65 Valiant taillight lenses you want to kick my way

I might be able to find some 65 tail light lenses !
Get-r -dun!.. They are hard to fond but !! Even one at a time works.
I have some time on my hands!
and by January we will see what can happen. Thanks.D.

Thanks Shish! If i had those parts i would send them to you but unfortunately i don't.
There's no big hurry on mine,i been thinking about painting it Butterscotch when i get it back together and was wondering what it would look like.

Hi All-
Sorry if I was a bit grumpy in my last post to DusterBoy15. memike was absolutely right that I should take some time to rest and all, and that's what I did for *most* of my holiday weekend. Hope all of yours were THE BEST and you got all the toys and goodies you asked for :happy7:.
Since I had a 4 day weekend that I'm now stretching into 5 :yawinkle:, I thought I'd finish up Dave's 'chop today. We'll start off with the very clean '66 that Dave used as the beginning of his project.
PS&

Next is what Dave wanted to see: Midnight metallic blue paint (hope I nailed the color, Dave!) with that $2k convertible top he was talking about a week or two ago. Foose Nitrous rims and a '66 Barracuda grille round out the added 'bling', with Pacific Coast Highway as a backdrop. I've added quite a bit more rubber at the back to help Dave put all those ponies to the ground, too. Hope you all dig it...especially you Dave!

That looks awesome. Now I'm really excited about getting my car finished. Thank you so much. Really awesome work. Let me know whenever you need help with your little A-body.

Dave

Thanks longarm!

Happy 2008 everybody! Slanted66 wanted just a very mild (but very cool) 'chop done of his '66 Dodge Dart. Since he's originally from my area (just a few miles down the coast from me), we decided on the cement ship Palo Alto at Seacliff State Beach as a backdrop.

...and then while messing around with final coloring, I hit the wrong button by mistake. The result turned out so neat, I kept it:

WOW...I love it!! Even better than I thought it would turn out! ONly problem now it that I need to make the car look as good in person as it does in the pics!!!
Thanks again...
Joel
