66 Signet, 273 auto on the column, converted to BBP, 8.75, disk brakes. Lots of patina. Original 273, now has a 318. I got the original motor with the deal. Came with Certi card and two build sheets. AC car.

Luxury Valiant! 2 build sheets! That's impressive for a Valiant! They were the economy car, so they normally didn't get loaded up. Nice car!

Got to looking at the build sheets last night. It appears to be two identical sheets for the same car. Anyway, safe to say there’s only one sheet. That being said not very many options.

So, made a list of things the car needs. Priority one is Exhaust. Definately Exhaust smell in the car. Looked up the HiPo 273 Exhaust that Accurate sells. $1300!! I’ll pass. So off to the muffler shop tomorrow.

few little bugs to work out, temp sending unit, signal switch canceling cam, of course I have some wheels and tire for it and a trip to an alignment shop.

Very nice find! I need to find one that nice. There was a 63 sold at Mecum Dallas a couple of months ago. The guy is flipping it on Marketplace now for an extra 2K.

They have jumped in value in recent years. Easy way to get into the hobby. Sure would like to get my 61 Lancer wagon back.

A little update on updates to the car.

went with a HiPo 273 single Exhaust. TheY pipe was in good shape so I just went with 2 1/2 off the Y pipe into a Magnaflow muffler the continued on over the axle with 2 1/4 into a factory resonator. Sounds real nice.

Next, addressed the under hood wiring. New under hood wiring harness with plastic straps to hold it in place. I still don’t have dash light and the water and temp gauge is not working.

scored a set of new in the box Bilstiens. Still looking for tabbed lower control arms. Being an AC car it should have the 340 bars. With the Bilstiens and sway bar it should handle pretty good. I’d like to find some decent rear springs.

Open element Aircleaner. I’m still looking for a stock 273 4 barrel Aircleaner.

Since I got the original 273 with the car I tore down the motor.

Scored an LD4B. Still looking for the valve covers.

It’s been raining si I discovered the front windshield gasket leaks. That’s on order and I already have the lock strip.

have a new sending unit

of course the wheels and tires.

Just make some tabs and weld them on.

If you have another a body that has them...easy... just take a couple measurements and zap zap.
